Dr. Courtland
Polley
Courtland Polley, M.D., is a general surgeon who treats the full range of general surgical diseases and conditions. A Jacksonville native, Dr. Polley enjoys taking care of the patients and community where he was raised.
He attended medical school at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida. He then completed his residency in general surgery at University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, Texas. While there, he sought out extra training in breast surgical oncology, thyroid and parathyroid disease, as well as benign and malignant diseases of the colon and rectum. He is one of the only residents in the country to have scored in the 99th percentile on all six American Board of Surgery exams. Upon graduation, he was awarded The Department of Surgery Award for Technical Excellence, given to one graduating resident for their dedication and skills in the operating room. After residency, he went on to complete specialized fellowship training at Mayo Clinic Florida in minimally invasive foregut, bariatric, hepatopancreaticobiliary, and advanced gastrointestinal surgery.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. His hobbies include golf, kiteboarding, and fitness.
